depends, if you are on a low carb diet they are a big no-no. That being said they are touted as a great way to get a lot of vitimans, the skin is espically nutritious.

Potatoes are good for you. The potatoe skin is especially good for you.
However - it's usually how we prepare potatoes that makes them unhealthy. We pile baked potatoes with fatty foods like cheese and butter and sour cream. And we deep fry potatoes which is not healthy either.
Potatoes get a bad rap. They are more highly caloric than many vegetables - because of the starch. But they are very good for you - if you cook them and eat them as they are.

Actually the skin of the potato has the most nutrients. Potatoes are really starchy, but also low in fat, unless you drown them in butter or mayo for potato salad. Eaten in moderation they are fine.

Potatoes are good for you period....whether you eat them boiled, peeled or whatever. My personal favorite is mashed potatoes!! Umm yummy!

they are terrible! for every normal size potato, when eaten, turns into 1 cup of sugar!
