Since it's cold, go for it. Make sure you watch it closely. Put it on foil and then on a pan. A little butter on top never hurts. Cook until your desired doneness, usually 5 minutes per side for medium rare.

I do that all the time, it will cook fast and dry out quick so keep an eye on it, season the top and then season lightly again when you flip it over. When you flip it over you can add sliced mushrooms and onions as well. Flipping it over isn't to cook it any longer ( that of course will happen ) but to give the bottom a chance to color up so put the majprity of the seasonings on the top. If you want, you can poke the top several times with a fork to help the seasonings get into the meat or maranite the meat ( I like coke for a maranite) for an hour or so before broiling

Yes, no problem. Start with meat near room temperature (not cold from the refrigerator) Pat some salt and pepper both sides. Try to turn them only once. The critical thing is to watch internal temperature. If you like the steak medium, go for 145 degrees.

Yeah! But only if you like it rare. Just season and rub with a bit of oil and broil until it reaches your desired temperature. Remember top always start with a room temperature steak though.
