No, it never says that you cannot drink alcohol. Many Christians believe that it is wrong to do, period, end of statement. I believe it is what drinking leads some people to do that can be sinful. Drinking alcohol in moderation can be a wonderful thing in social situations. It can cause you to be less shy and laugh a little. I've had many-a deep religious conversations over a few beers. However, if you cannot control yourself while drinking, you can become a completely different person, and that's where the sin comes in. Drinking too much can completely impair your judgement and can cause you to make some pretty rash decisions.
Some also believe that by drinking, you are harming your body, which is a temple of Christ, and should be treated as so. Once again, we have to decide how much alcohol you can drink before it reaks havoc on your body. It has been proven that one glass of wine or one beer every day has numerous health benefits. Too many though (think along the lines of getting "hammered" every single day for years) can severly damage your liver and eventually lead to death. Think abou this though: becasue the sun causes considerate damage to our skin, is being outside without sunsreen a sin? It's your call honey, but I say drink up! Just be wise and don't do more harm than good :)

No. The Bible says that we should do all things for God's glory and condemns alcohol. Let's go deeper into this subject scripturally.
Many religious denominations taught that drinking alcohol was immoral, according to The World Book Encyclopedia. However, is it immoral to drink alcoholic beverages? Does the Bible prohibit the drinking of all alcolic beverages and in any amount?
What Does The Bible Say?
The scriptures warn us of the bad consequences of overindulgence in alcohol. Ephesians 5:18 says, "Do not be getting drunk with wine, in which there is debauchery,"
Proverbs 23:20, 21: "Do not come to be amongheavy drinkers of wine, among those who are gluttonous eaters of flesh. For a drunkard and a glutton will come to poverty."
Despite the scriptures condemning drunkeness, it mentions the benefits of drinking moderately. Read Psalm 104:15 and Ecclesiastes 9:7 (eat your food with rejoicing and drink your wine with a good heart). 1 Timothy 5:23 is an example of how wine was of benefit medically for Timothy.
Therefore, it is clear that the Bible does not prohibit the drinking of alcoholic beverages. However, it does condemn drinking to excess and drunkeness.
"Whether you are eating or drinking or doing anything else, do all things for God's glory." (1 Corinthians 10:31)

No. The bible warns against getting drunk.
It's a fact that alcohol was consumed in early times because of it's antiseptic qualities. There is also scripture that recommends drinking a little wine to sooth stomach problems.
But drinking in excess is a problem. Drunkenness is a problem.
Furthermore, some churches will put into their constitution a rule that the congregation cannot drink alcohol. This is a rule of man, not of God. A congregation can observe whatever rules they want to to enhance their worship of God. (My church dis-allows alcohol)

There are several references of people getting drunk and doing stupid things in the Old Testament. Obviously, they didn't know when to stop.
There are also several references of people drinking wine - Jesus included.
It appears that the Bible doesn't offer a general prohibition against alcohol, but rather points out that drinking too much of it isn't exactly clever.
Sort of common sense, huh?

There are many warnings in the Bible about drunkeness. Some denominations refuse to accept casual drinking of alcohol because it could turn into an addiction and it is also not good for your health to abuse it.
I believe that the use of acohol is okay with God. It is the abuse of it that he does not like.

No. That's not in the Bible. Wine was consumed a lot back then. Jesus even turned water into wine at a wedding celebration.
Alcoholic beverages aren't outlawed, but drinking them in EXCESS is.

It says do not be a drunkard (alcoholic), but nowhere does it state that it's wrong to drink alcohol. If it were wrong, then Jesus could not be the Messiah as so many claim, as his first miracle was turning water into wine for a wedding. (And it wasn't grape juice they were drinking either).

There is nothing in the bible that say thou shall not drink alcohol. On the contrary that the Paul writes to Timothy to have a little wine for his stomach. Jesus first miracle was turning the water into wine. Does the bile say not to get drunk? Yes it does. In Ephesians 5:18 "Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit."
