One thing that worked with my cats was to hiss at them, or blow in their faces, or make another noise that would get their attention or just scare the heck out of them. I wouldn't push off anything though. Come on no one likes that ;) And if theys till don't get the message - spray them with water! lol! One of those plant misters will do. This also helps in teaching them to stay off tables etc. She'll learn what she gets in trouble for as long as you're consistant - don't let her get away with it sometimes and not others. They're kinda like kids that way. If they get the same reaction every time they'll learn.

By the way some cats do just give love nibbles - kittens in particular don't know their own strength or how to control how hard they bite. When they do it to show they like you its much more sweet than taking a chunk out of your hand!

Spray bottles work wonders. Just not in the face - the bottom does fine. My cat is at the point where all I have to do is shake the bottle and he stops doing what he's doing - or (because he's very naughty, lol) he'll keep at it but crouch down hoping the water will miss! lol
The other thing that often works is just getting up and leaving the kitten when she nips. She gets no reaction and that's not what she wants. Once she learns it gets no reaction it is supposed to stop. My adult cat only nips now if he gets over stimulated, so be aware of that too.

My cat used to bite HARD for no reason, starting from that age until now (he's a little over a year old). I thump him on the nose. Not hard enough to hurt, but enough so that he gets the point. It doesn't hurt them, I've done that to every cat I've ever owned when they're misbehaving. He usually looks at me and tries to be all mad and mean, but then when I pet him he settles down and gives kisses. Good luck!

During play when she gets too rough, hiss at her and pull your arm away then say EASY in a firm but not yelling voice. If she continues too rough, walk away for a bit. If she doesn't catch on, try a squirt bottle but that may make her stop playing with you all together, depending on her personality. One thing I did was used a thick snow glove when I played with my kittens so they could get all into it without hurting me. In a short time, they only associated play with the glove (or toys) and stopped doing it to bare flesh. Try that and see if it helps. Good luck!

She only is playing! She doesn't know she is hurting you. Cats and other animals bite and scratch their brothers and sister. They understand each other that they're only playing. But, if you can't stand it and she draws a little blood, just tap her on the nose and say, "NO" really loudly. It always works for mine. My cat is a orange-cream striped male. He's a year and 4 months but, we did this all his life. Don't worry, you're not hurting her. Just tap firm enough to make her understand.

When my cat was a kitten, I pulled away whatever he bit (hand, arm, etc.), said "no" really loudly, and left the room and ignored him. After I did this a few times, he got the hint that I wouldn't keep playing if he bit me. He would do it to other family members who didn't mind playing a little rougher, but not with me.

She is at the age where they like to rough house. Get her some toys to play with. When you are loving on her and she nips put her down. Or get a squirt gun.

Thick leather gloves on the hands, and keep your faces away from the kitten's. Your kitten will grow out of this in a couple of months.

She is teething and will naturally gnaw and bite on everything until her permanent teeth settle into her gums. Cats are playfull and don't confuse her behavior for aggressiveness, because she is still learning about her world and environment as a cat.
