Turn the key to the run position and look for the light ABS. If you dont see it you dont have ABS then.

Drive at 60 mph toward a brick wall and then SLAM ON THE BRAKES!!! If they lock, you don't have antilock brakes.
Oh, you were serious. Um, let's see. Rear wheel ABS is a standard feature on a 1992 Ford Explorer according to edmunds.com.
I hope you didn't do the wall thing.

You have a couple choices: 1-Call a Ford dealer and ask them. 2-Call your mechanic and ask them. 3-Look under the hood. If there is an extra "box" looking thing attached to the brake master cylinder with the individual brakes lines coming out of it, then you have ABS. Choice #1 is the best.

The VIN# on the dash or front door panel will give you that info.
Just get the # and check out www.carfax.com
It will tell you everything about your truck. It costs approx. $14, last time I used it.

easiest way is to speed up to about 50mph, hit an ice slick and slam on your brakes. If you have them, chances are you won't crash you car in a ditch.
