You could still get them. I had them twice...once as a child and again as an adult. It's rare to get them twice, but it can happen. I got them at age 26. You could also get shingles, as that is also caused by the chicken pox virus. Shingles is a condition caused by the chicken pox virues. It happens to those who have had chicken pox before. I got this nfo from the below link -> "What is shingles?
Shingles (herpes zoster) is a viral infection of the nerve roots. It causes pain and a band of rash that spreads on one side of your body. Shingles is most common in older adults and people who have weakened immune systems because of stress, injury, certain medications, or other factors.
What causes shingles?
Shingles is caused by the reactivation of the virus (varicella-zoster virus) that causes chickenpox. After you recover from chickenpox, the virus lies dormant (inactive) in your nerve roots. In some people, it stays dormant for the rest of their lives. In others, the virus reactivates when disease, stress, or aging weakens the immune system. 1

First of all he doesn't have chicken pox if he had the vaccine, it doesn't work that way. My guess is he has some other virus that is causing a similar rash so unless you have had a positive diagnosis from a physician on that I think you need one. Meantime I find it hard to believe at age 33 you haven't already had this illness and my guess is that you have and didn't know it making you immune. You'll know for sure someday when you get shingles.

Get ready....there is an excellant chance you will get them. It'll take about 2 weeks for it to incubate. If you do get it, the older you are, the worst you'll feel. Make sure you don't scratch the pustules, because it can cause scarring. To help dry them up quickly, use Aveenobath twice a day. You may want to start stocking up on that now, because you're not going to be able to go to the store when you're sick. Expect a fever also. Also, stock up on orange juice and soup. Keep others away, if you get sick. I got chicken pox when I was 25, and that was the sickest I remember feeling. I hope it passes you by, but if I was you, I'd get prepared for the worst. Best of luck to you.

I got diagnosed with herpes virus (type 2) about 5 yrs ago, whilst I was still attending college and had a dumb one-night stand. I understand loads of people say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a huge mistake that one time and all of a sudden I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for my entire life. The worst part was feeling I could never date men again. In the end, who wants to go out with a girl who has sores round her private parts? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/nFsjz everything improved.
Not only was I able to eliminate all remnants of the herpes simplex virus from my system in less than three weeks, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just a week ago, in front of everybody in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This method provided the opportunity to be happy and experience true love again. Now I hope that I can help others too by sharing this story.

If you have never had them, then it is very possible to get them. Cross your fingers, because I've heard they are much worse when you get them as an adult. If you don't get them, I would get the vaccine for yourself so you are better protected. Better safe than sorry. Like you said, even if you get them after the vaccine, they won't be as bad.
Good Luck

Well, I believe you are more prone to them since you have never had them before.
