Sounds like Pinkeye (also called conjunctivitis). My brother-in- law had this a couple weeks ago. You need to get to your doctor to get an antibiotic. Some types of conjunctivitis are very contagious so be sure you wash your hands often.
My brother-in-law also had a sinus infection. The doctor told him if he didn't get on this antibiotic to reduce the pressure in his eye socket he could loose his vision in that eye.

Could be pink eye which is very contagious! Get to a Dr.!

IT MAY BE PINK EYE IF YOU WAKE UP IN THE MORNING WITH YOUR EYE CLOSED SHUT AND IT IS ITCHING THEN YOU SHOULD CALL YOUR DOC.. IT COULD ALSO BE A COLD IN YOUR EYE .JUST BE SAFE AND GET IT CHECKED OUT
