I'm no expert but you can wear anything that will give you free range of motion to exercise, while at the same time made of a fabric that will "breathe" and allow you to perspire.
The retail stores will have you believe you need to spend a lot of money on the name brand stuff, but any athletic wear, found from Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target to Sears, Sport's Authority and most high end retailers like Nordstrom and others carry this type of clothing.
My suggestion, wear something you already have that is comfortable and you can move in ( i.e. t-shirt and sweatpants or biking shorts maybe?), then go to the gym, sit, watch & scope out what the others in your age range are wearing. If you like it and it fits your clothing budget, hit the stores and get a fitness wardrobe. Or if you are really confident in who you are and are are just there to work out.......just get some basic good exercise clothes in the sports department, try them on first of course to be sure you get the fit you need. As for the Bosom's .....again, a good sport bra should be all you need!
What a great way to start the new year.....Congrats!

I work at a YMCA and there is a great deal of variety in what people wear to the gym. For a woman, I suggest a sports bra and compression shorts. What you wear over that is the tricky part, but a warm-up suit is good for full coverage, as are yoga pants. You may want to look at clothes from Reebok Sport, Nike Sphere, or my personal favorite, Under Armour.
A sleeveless top and thin pants or workout capris would liekly be good for you. One piece swimsuit is better if you plan on any aquatic aerobis classes or lap swimming.

I wear Under Armour shirts/tanks and I love Vicorias Secret's Yoga pants. They come in short and long lengths. Also, wear non cotton socks to avoid a burning sensation on the bottom of your feet. I cant help you with the sports bra I am a 34B.

Whatever makes you feel comortable. I would say that yoga pants are best because they are tight but light weight and breathable. I would say, excerising in a wifebeater is probably best. The less clothing the better, because i hate feeling icky when working out.
and here a list of the top ten best sports bras!

I would for sure wear anything that is 1. comfortable and 2. that makes you sweat ... sweating makes you loose more weight. ( so maybe some comfortable sweatpants)
For a shirt -- i always just wear baggy t-shirts.
For a bra -- I see a lot of people wearing sports bras.

anything that is loose & comfortable. danskin & nike make some really comfortable gym clothes. I have always found that a pair of bike shorts & a tshirt works the best for me. I also love skecher & reebok & nike shoes to work out in.

Something that does not show your navel or your butt. No one wants to think of those things being stuck in their face.
