I like Mexicos immigration laws. I think we should adopt those.

I said we should adopt their IMMIGRATION LAWS!! Not their way of life! If you want to leave your land because it's corrupt, and you feel America is the better place to live, that's fine... But do so LEGALLY! And we should NOT have to accomadate to fit a foreigners needs, this is OUR land! You should learn OUR language!

I think Rush has a good point. Now that I think about it, I think that Spanish speaking immigrants have become spoiled and expect more than they have a right to. We should make them learn English. But not allowing immigrants to protest or critisize the government, although it sounds nice, it violates our ideal of freedom of speech.

My dear Human Race friends:

I read all of the answers and unfortunately many are full of ignorance and lack of understanding of the past, present and reality. Unfortunately the Mexicans that are coming to the USA for work are the same ones which land and homes were stolen from the criminals that came from Spain, are the same ones which land and homes were stolen from the Americans (50% of the Mexican territory), are the same ones exploded by the greedy multinationals (Americans mainly) and greedy Mexicans in Mexico and unprotected by corrupted governments (Mexican and American). Most Mexicans educated and with money will never want to come to the USA, Mexico is a country full of culture (a lot more than the USA) and great family values, less materialistic and with more human touch than in the USA. So at the end the same Indians that have been discriminated and dominated for 500 years now get your hate and discrimination (not a bad word it is just the true). Poor people what they have done to deserve this? They are the real Native Americans!

So, be smart the Truth will set you free!

Not being one to agree with Rush too often, I must agree with most of this. I live in a border town and lemme tell you, I have 2 degrees and a minor and when I moved here, I couldn't even get a job at McDonalds! I think it is TERRIBLE that I am expected to learn a different language just to serve up some hamburgers!
I think we need laborers or else get off our high moral horses and put prisoners to working in the fields like they used to do!
We must have some way to protect our borders and we must have some way to keep illegal immigrants out. I don't care if you are Mexican, German, Canadian or etc. If you are here illegally, you ARE A CRIMINAL and should be treated like one! if I were in your country, I would be!
America was to be ther melting pot, well folks it has melted and now it is drowning!
Also for a small note here, earlier this year when these laws went into effect, there were Mexican Americans protesting in schools by burning US flags and running Mexican flags up and placing US flags upside down under them. What are they teaching in school? Are these little Mexican's not aware they they are protesting and degrading their OWN RIGHTS? So what if aunt Juanita can't stay for a long time. Get over it and be glad you are American with feedoms.
Also during this little rioting by the kids, they walked out of school, which they go to for free. Why were they not all suspended? Do you think if a white kid walked off campus that he wouldn't be?
And one more thing, while everyone was shouting about the 1 day strike that no farm workers or Mexican laborers would come to work... guess what? Every farm around here was full of workers that day becuse they needed the money and they knew if they didn't show up, they wouldn't work here again!
So do I agree with Rush, yes and no. Do I think we need these laws, absolutely. Do i think every Hispanic American Citizen should be teaching their children what it means to be free, absolutely. And last but not least, do we need to send every last one of these Mexican flag waving citizens home HELL YEAH!

Exactly...Mexico doesn't sound like a great country to live in...that is why people are leaving it! That holds true for all the other countries other immigrants come from.

Immigration laws are not tough enough. If we let everyone in who wanted to come, there would be 100 million people on our shores tomorrow. We need to strictly ENFORCE our laws, and kick out the undesirables back to where they came from. America is for Americans.

I think that Rush does not make a very good point. Immigrants come To the US because of things like those laws he just cited. They come to America for Freedom and Economic opportunity. The Druggie seems to have forgotten that, and does not understand the ideals of this country.

Sigh. it's the story of this country. Every group of immigrants to come through The golden door want it shut behind them...

BTW: Those laws violate the United States Constitution, just to let you know. It would be illegal for us to adopt them.

Those are Mexico's immigrations laws, I knew them from hearing his first words ....
I think the US should adopt them as our own laws.
