Well you have to take into consideration your weight, height, and features. It's not an easy decision to make and it would probably be better to ask a few hairdressers for opinions.
If you are tall and slim you could pull it off even if you have prominent features however if you are on the heavy side it could draw attention to your imperfections. Are you the sporty type or sophisticated type? Having very short hair is something you should put alot of thought into ----don't just do it as you could be unhappy. Remember it takes time to grow it back. Also if you have a picture of yourself you could post it and get alot of feedback.

OMG!!! Listen to me! Dont go too short too fast! You'll totally regret it! I did it when I had my baby 4 months ago and it is growing sooooo slow and I hated it from the begining. I don't have any pics with my growing baby cause I hate the way I look. Go 2 inches at a time. Trust me!!

I guy can go bald, but a gal should have at least a 1/4" of hair. Be wild!

Well whatever you are comfortable with. The shorter you go the harder it is to pull it back. Only go super short if you don't mind wearing your hair down and don't care about ponytails or other up-dos!

well you could go for that modelish, utlra-shot boycut, and that is very short, but i suggest no shorter than a bob.
however, if you live in a place like austin you could do it howver and no-one would care! so you could do a cut with longer in front, shorter in back, or get layers and face framers, or get a two-layer versatile cut... or ask your stylist!

Having no other information, I'd say cut it as short as you want.
