you already understand the respond... She needs to have her thyroid rechecked to verify if the dose she is recieving is suited or no longer. 2 classic indications of thyroid themes is hair loss and somewhat chilling... additionally behavioral adjustments tend to happen. there is no way absolutely everyone on the internet would provide you an answer different than that considering there is no one that could examine the thyroid point -- would not rely how lots she is on or no longer -- issues substitute and because she replaced into doing ok at one factor on a particular dosage would not recommend she would be able to continuously do nicely on that dose. that stands out as the 1st ingredient i could evaluate -- there are, of path, quite a few different well being suitable circumstances that reason hair loss and lack of ability to alter physique temperature yet lower back, no thank you to tell for the duration of the internet and he or she would be able to could see the vet. something absolutely everyone could say otherwise could be in basic terms guessing and specific an uneducated one at that. Sorry yet you knew all that already... good luck

Sounds like Demodx mange , which is hereditaty not contagious . I would have you vet check it out asap . Reds can have some skin problems . I keep my reds and blue dobes on fish oil , 1,000 mgs 2 times a day . It really helps thier coat look good .

FYI, you can find fish oil at your local drug store , its a vitamin people take .

If he is also itchy, he may have mange. If not, it could be a thyroid problem, Cushing's Disease, or ???. Best to see your vet.

Also, blue Dobermans are prone to losing their hair on the trunk of their body. Were one of the parents a blue? It could have a genetic link.

Not knowing how much you know about Dobes, are you sure he's a red and not a fawn? The fawns are prone to alopecia just like the blues.

Could be a lot of things, unfortunately. Is he itchy, are there any other symptoms?

I would recommend you getting him to the vet and have them do a skin scraping to check for demodex mites. They cause demodicosis (red mange).

Natasha.... did you check out those pictures?
