I was very thrilled that Saddam would no longer rub years and years of resolutions in our face. I was excited for the Iraqi's being able to be called free for the first time in most of their life's.
I was a little apprehensive about the future and what Saddam supporters would do.
Of course, like many I underestimated the role that Iran and Syria would play in Iraq and the success of stabilizing the country.

We successfully invaded Iraq? Is that why we have been having 100 or more military brought home in body bags every month, including this month? And for a longer period than WW II!!
Losing the war in Iraq is not a resounding success to get one little man who had nothing to do with terrorists or 9/11! The US has killed more Iraqi's than Saddam could ever do as we DO HAVE weapons of mass destruction!

Sadness for the people involved and for our government's lack of restraint and diplomacy. We are such a great nation. It is a shame we are losing our ability to negotiate and be the great peacemakers we are capable of being. There was a time when people all over the world looked to the United States as a world power that could be trusted. I am afraid we are now perceived as a nation who should be feared.

My first reaction was, "Thank God. I hope this will eventually end world terrorism, as the President says he is trying to do. It's gonna be a long hard fight, but worthwhile."
Saddam verily deserved to be deposed. Good thing Bush had more backbone than his predecessor, Billy "Mr. Popularity" Clinton.

I'm sorry, did we "successfully" invade Iraq? Because it seems like it's pretty much been a failure to me.
The Iraq debacle makes me ashamed of this country and want to move to Canada.

I felt sick. The excuses for the war were all lies, that was obvious at the time to anyone paying attention.
Our enemies, like bin Laden, are in Pakistan. When we go after him, I will feel relieved.

There was no reaction. There was no doubt the invasion would be successful. That is why we are America. As I like to say, "PEACE THROUGH SUPERIOR FIREPOWER".
