You should not circumcise your child, and you should not pull back the foreskin. Circumcision is very painful, barbaric and unnecessary. No one should mutilate a helpless baby. And their foreskins are SUPPOSED to be attached until they are much older - pulling it back can do damage.

I have two boys and no doctor ever told me to "pull back the meat". The circumcisions were done the day after the kids were born in the hospital. I do believe that it is elective and if you choose to have it done, it cost extra.

I certainly hope that no doctor has told you to "pull back the meat". If he has, I advise you to find a new doctor.
In Canada, I believe circumcision is an elective surgery. You have to make an appointment with a urologist and pay for the surgery, similar to cosmetic surgery.
Thank goodness I had girls!
