I SOOO think you should! Even if you won't have it for a while. You- if you get your drivers license- would be able to drive your parents car and your friends i mean... AT LEAST YOU CAN DRIVE! if you drive other people's cars then when you do get your own car you would be very comfortable with driving and wont crash or any thing (hope you won't crash any ways)

To wrap it up: DEFINITELY get your license. You will feel more independent and that is a great feeling!

You definitely would want to get your license so you can start building your experience record as a licensed driver. As an insurance agent I know what a huge cost difference there is for someone defined as an "inexperienced operator" which is anyone with less then 3 years driving experience. If you are over 18 years old I would also suggest looking for a "non owner's auto insurance policy". Basically what this will do is cover you for when you borrow a vehicle, but will also show that you had "prior insurance" when you do buy a vehicle. Why is this important? Because if you have prior auto coverage you can qualify for a preferred insurance policy and pay a lot less money the nsomeone without prior insurance would pay.

Good Luck!

How old are you? I didn't get my license until I was 18. Quite frankly - I was scared of driving until that time in my life - and at that point I needed to be able to travel to work and college so it was necessary. Is it necessary? Do you have a parents car to drive? Do you WANT to get it? If you answer yes to those questions - go for it!

Yes, in case you need to drive a car in an emergency. What if you're driving across town with your friend and she loses her glasses and can't drive home? If you can drive, there's no problem.

I had my license for 5 years before I had my own car. I borrowed my parents' sometimes, but also I knew I could drive someone else's car if I needed to.

You should go ahead and get your licence because not only can you borrow a car but it is a good form of identification to have in your possession. When you start the process you should take driver's classes as they may help you to obtain a lower price on your insurance when you finally do get a car. Good Luck!

Yes you should try to get your license. There are many benefits to having a D.L. You never Know when you will be called upon to drive. It can be an emergency situation or you can be extremely bored and want to drive somewhere. It also gives you confidence and freedom, and it's a good form of I.D.

I'd say yes because you may have to drive someone else's in an emergency. And your parents may allow you to drive theirs. Don't wait -- do it while you're interested in obtaining them.
