My husband thinks he's coming down with a flu which would mean our son is already exposed. Should I forget about giving him the flu shot? His doctor kept pushing it lst week and I had turned it down. Any advice?? How long does it take for the flu shot to take effect?

if you son has already been exposed to the flu, its too late. But if he doesn't end up catching it, you can still get him vacinated. good luck

definitely get him the flu shot, and yourself as well. There are three separate viruses that the vaccine innoculates for this year. Having the flu once doesn't mean you can get it again with three different viruses going around.

it's not too late, give him one for it's worth it.
