I have an american bulldog and an old english mastiff they are both 1 years old. The bulldog is a male and the mastiff is a female. She is spade and he is not. My boyfriend wants to get another dog... A Canary Mastiff. Do you think that is to many dogs? Do you think that the older dogs will like the baby? I do have a house and yard. The yard is bigger than the house.

I don't think you will have any problems. Your older dogs are basically still puppies. They may growl a little in the first couple of days, but they'll get used to the puppy. I say go for it, and have a nice family of dogs. Make sure you have a sturdy fence, Mastiffs can be big dogs and are extremely strong. Best of luck to you.

If you can handle having 3 dogs, why not? It's not up to anyone but you how many dogs you own as long as you can comfortably care for them and provide them with a very healthy environment and lifestyle. The older dogs may or may not take right to the puppy. Never leave them alone together for the first few weeks especially. Watch them and anytime you notice they act agitated, remove the puppy and give them a break. Slowly introduce them and don't force it, let it happen on it's own. I'm sure they'll take to the new pup, just give them time. =)

Not if you really love dogs and have the time, space and money to properly care for them. If the new dog is very young it will be easier. There will arise a few misunderstandings and territorial
issues but nothing that cant be handled if the time and love is there.
