nonetheless eating the jars is standard yet not eating something else isn't. My son became eating complete bananas at a year previous and at 14 months he nonetheless has jars each and every now and then yet prefers something that mom and dad are eating and he would not seem really picky in any respect. We did not commence giving our son jars until eventually after six months i imagine 4 months is somewhat youthful, you may blend somewhat rice cereal with breast milk at that age yet they more desirable typically than not might want to nonetheless be subsisting off breast milk or formulation. We also under no circumstances rigidity fed our son, when we first gave him foodstuff from a jar you would possibly want to work out his expression "nicely that's about time! i have been waiting for this!!!!" as he opened huge and smiled after his first chew. a minimum of she is getting exceptionally solid foodstuff from the jars. i imagine it really is ideal to envision with the mummy about this in case you probably did not already. possibly all you spot is the jars because they are transportable are you particular she's not getting different foodstuff at domicile? note of interest: I had a cousin who as a teen nonetheless ate toddler foodstuff. She basically loved the stuff. yet that actual wasn;'t all she ate :-)

My son started headbutting floors and walls at around the same age. He grew out of it about 4 months later when he discovered throwing and kicking! Some children do this - others bite, some scream............ its all normal as far as children go and before you know it they'll have grown out of that and will be doing something else. Thats the joys of having kids xx

Head butting could just be his rebuttal (no pun intended) to your saying "no" to him. Instead of telling you that he doesn't like your answer, he headbutts instead. Pretty common reaction to being told "no" for a toddler. If it continues, or you notice that he does it during other activities, such as sitting by the wall and banging his head on it, it could indicate a problem with his sensory integration. However, this is less common that just being an ornery toddler!

It's perfectly normal however terrible it may seem. I did it until I was about 2 years old apparently. The doctor laughed and said to my mother 'oh...he's a headbanger'. Do take him to the doctor though just in case someone thinks you're battering him.

Girls do it aswell!!!!!!! it's not just boys. My neighbours daughter had lumps on her forehead the size of boiled eggs. As for 'they won't do themselves any harm'...yes they can and often do.

It is very normal. My son did the samething. Just ignore it. Most little boys will do things like that for a reaction not always a good one.

I don't know if it's 'normal' but my son did the same thing and at the time my mum said a lot of toddlers do it. He's normal now so I think your son will grow out of it

Yes , he is showing his frustration. I will guess his speech isn't up to communicating well as most 17 month old kids aren't. It is his way of communicating his frustration.... It will continue for a while, dont gibe him any attention while he does it, it will make it worse. One day he will do it hard enough for him to realise it really hurts and stop. Til then keep patient!
