i have this nasty disgusting cold sore/ canker sore (u kno wat i mean) on my top lip in the left corner, it is so gross. i get them like every 3months (i dont know why) and to make it all worse, i was supposed to see my boyfriend tomorrow morning, (hint-hint). BUT NO!!!! this nasty cold sore HAD to pop up!!!! damn i wanna cut my lip off, Lol. well yeah guys n gals, any suggestions are welcome!

Ok I am like you, like every 3 months I would get one and I tried all the crap out there. Well there is one thing that does work and you have to goto your doctor to prescribe it. It's called Valtrex. People with any kind of herpes can use it. It's 8 pills you take in one day (sounds scary), but it is amazing. It stops it immediatly so most of the time nobody would even be able to notice you have one. It also takes less than half the time to go away. Seriously don't even bother with anything else, trust me I know exactly how you feel and you won't be sorry.

If you feel the sore coming on, take 2 plain aspirin every 4 hours for a day or so and use Abreva 4 times a day. This should help keep it from getting big. Rubbing ice on one thats forming should help too.

Go to a drugstore and get something called Ulcer Ease. Tuck your top lip in your mouth and swish a few times a day. It takes the pain away and gets rid of it super quick. Also, you might want to go to a doctor and get medication for it since it is a reoccuring thing.

Mix up some Hormel chili and Chap-Stik in a bowl, apply to affected area and leave on overnight. That should begin the healing process.

here is an old remedy my great-grandmother told me; use earwax on your cold sores it will clear up fast.
I know, it sounds gross,
ive never tried this, however, she swore by it
