Im very experienced with both small breeds and large breeds..... I have had a pickenese, chow chow, and lately a st bernard, I am very well aware of the bad pasts some dogs can have, but thats the past and I am fully able to accept a dog with such a past and give it an amazing future..... and nower days as long as you have experience of a similar sized dog and pass the home check then rescue centers are happy to let you adopt one...
please just infomation if you know of anyone who can help me.. thanks!

do you have experience with these breeds? only rescue dogs tend to go to the most experienced handlers.

They can come from traumatic backgrounds ie. mistreated or most commonly, being bred from puppy farms.

I looked into rescuing a Cavalier King Charles from Cavalier rescue societies and heard the most heartbreaking tales. I wasn't experienced enough to take on the dogs. In the end, I got a puppy.

Sorry to sound a bit negative, but this is the reality of it and I had no idea until I started making phone calls.

You do realize that these 2 breeds have VERY different personalities & exercise needs - are you wanting the very active, always on the go busy-ness of a Miniature Pinscher, or the more silly, cuddle-loving Pug?

You can go to your countries biggest & best breed registry website to find breed rescues & breeders.

contact your local Canine Defence league, they will be aware of any specialist breed rescue centres in the UK and will also notify you if they have anything suitable come in. Also, go direct to the breed societies for these breeds - I know that most will have lists of breeders & rehomes required.
I have put a couple of useful links on the bottom of this, good luck finding your pup - I am sure you will give a pup a lovely home :o)
