Our officers still wear their uniform caps when they are on foot patrol, and for any "Class A" uniform type of function, such as a funeral.

It's been over 20 years since I saw the police wearing the traditional hats. I think it's a masculine trend to either wear a cap or to display their military-style haircut. A subtle mohawk is often included.

It depends where your at - in a lot of states they still wear them
