You just have to have hair to attach the hair to, I got extensions when my hair was only three inches long! And no body knew, My extensions were eighteen inches long!! But if you go that short it would almost be impossible to get them sewn in so you would have to go with the kind that you use an adhesive with, be picky though, some of those adhesives can be brutal, they can be hard to remove, so just make sure you do your research and find someone who knows what they are doing.

Yeah, I agree with four inches. This is so that the extensions can stay clipped, glued or sewn to your natural hair. This also serves in concealing the fact that you have added hair. It should not be obvious that you have hair extensions, so your natural hair should cover the places where the extensions are attached. They should be attached near the scalp.

the guy who responded first is ******* stupid! ok do not use guy made extensions they're somewhat somewhat trashy!!! and that they like in no way final!!! EW EW EW EW pretend plastic hair. NO human hair or Yak extensions are the appropriate reason they don't soften. purely ensure you in no way comb your extensions and purchase a loop brush that's used especially for extensions guy made and actual hair and is greater delicate on the extensions and to shelter your extensions!!!! human hair extensions with perfect care can final MONTHS. with daily use.

Do you want to pay for some poor womans loss.
Hair extensions come from Eastern Europe & Asia,.where these women are paid a pittance for thier crowning glory in order for us in theWest to have longer hair.
Why dont you grow it & be proud its your own.
I wonder what crap your hairdresser will tell you where the hair originated from.
