Good question! Horses are usually wormed on a schedule of every other month to just 3 times a year. Just rotate the type of worm er you are using to keep the worms from becoming immune, with an Ivormec one month, and a Pyranteal type the next time you worm. Its much safer to keep her wormed than to overburden her system just a couple times a year.
As for a Quarter Horse, look on the back of your papers. There is a user friendly website that you can access with her registered name and number. Without the papers it is almost impossible , as the AQHA registers over half a million horses....every year in the USA!
While your at it, sign up to Ride America if you like. Its a point system for every trail ride you go on,with fun prizes and community information.

Here are some answers
1. You should worm a horse according to their weight. Every worm paste (given orally) comes with measurements on it that you adjust for your horses weight. As for how often; worms and parasites are a horrible problem for horses, and you can do anything from every 1-3 months.
One of the best things ever made though was a continual feed de-wormer. This is a powder or pellet that you add to your horses feed everyday. Much better for the horse as they don't have the rise and sudden fall of parasites in their system. I would recommend this if you add any grains or supplements to your horse.
2. If you are a member of AQHA then you can go online to www.aqha.com, from there you can get all of her records online if that is what your looking for. If your not a member call (806) 376-4811 and they should be able to help you out.

You should determine the weight of your horse with a weight tape (you can get one from the local feed store or your vet) and then adjust the amount of wormer for that particular horse. As to how often, I worm my horses every other month (6 times a year) and rotate my wormers every other time I worm. As to the registration information, you can look on her papers and go to a website, however you may have to register and become a member of the association; I have a registered APHA, in order for me to look up any other registry info on her I had to join and become a member for $35 a year. Being a member has some advantages, you can not only look up her info, but you can look into the lineage of her sires and dams and their offspring. Can be very interesting. Good luck.

I have always wormed on a rotating schedule.
We give a wormer every 8 weeks and we rotate the chemical that we give each time.
Twice per year I use something that will kill tapeworms and after a hard frost I make sure to give a dose of some type of ivermectin to kill off any bots.
If you have pregnant mares or breeding stallions be sure you are using a wormer safe for them.

I am not sure where other than the AQHA people where to get info on Quarter Horses breeding and registration.
