Not at all. I don't believe it is ever to early or to late. It's when you both feel it's time. Some people are friend's for a long time before they take their friendship to the next level. Good luck. Butterscoth candy in your mouth when you kiss. People love it! '-)

A month?....and you two haven't kissed yet?! That's sweet! :)
Ok, to answer your question, No, it's not too soon. On your next date, you guys should kiss each other good night. If he doesn't make the first move, you go for it. Just hug him first, look into his eyes and lean into him and kiss his lips. He'll kiss you back, I'm sure! :)

How old are you???
One month at any age is not too soon, but be sure it's what you both want. If he's timid then you be blunt, but you don't kiss him. Make sure it is him who kisses you, and then you reciprocate. Leave him with some dignity.

I think you shouldn't be in too big of a rush to show affection. Since you mention he's timid, he may not be too sure of what to do, especially if you are more experienced with relationships. Best not to rush things. There are lots of people who bear emotional scars from the sharing of affection at inappropriate times. Remember too, he may be at best your penultimate significant other...

Just let him know you are ready get close snuggle up to him a bit maybe put your head on his chest and look up at him while your watching TV but dont just do it because it should be special and you will regret it later if you just do it. Let him do the actual move in to kiss. I just did it with my husband of 6 years now and I really regret it.

How old are you to start with, it doesn't matter how timid he is if your old enough to go out on dates. That first kiss is long overdue.

If you're dating, there must be some kind of attraction... Tell him you want to kiss him and see what he says. I can't imagine any guy saying no to that. Alternatively, kiss first, gauge his reaction after.
