Also, by age 1 how many teeth did they have? And which teeth were they?

My son is eight months old and already has all four of his front teeth. And he seems to possibly be teething again. His doctor has already told us that she is rather amazed he has gotten all four of front teeth already. I was just wondering if this is really strange or not.

All kids teeth at different ages. Some are even born with teeth.

I got my first tooth at 2 months. On my first birthday I was cutting 8 teeth! So I had 12 teeth by one year old.

The following website has some good information on the order and ages teeth normally come in, but all babies vary. http://www.orajel.com/faqs/teething.htm

There is nothing odd about it at all. My friend's daughter is 8 months old and has all four of her front teeth too.

Kids develop at their own rate. My son had several teeth at 6 months and I think 8 or 9 by the time he was 1. My daughter didn't have any teeth until she was a year old and then popped out 4 in less than two weeks and others rapidly followed.

My daughter got her first at 5 1/2 months and had 8 teeth by the time she was 7 1/2 months. My son got his first tooth at 5 months 3 weeks had 4 by the time he was 7 months and now he's 8 months old has 6 teeth and could be teething again. The pediatrician isn't surprised because his older sister got her teeth early too. So it doesn't sound strange to me.

Well my son is 6 months old and has his bottom two teeth. They came in about a month and a half ago, and he is teething again. Its fine, just some babies develop sooner than others thats all. My friend has an 8 month old daughter and she has no teeth.

My daughter got her first tooth at 4 months. She got her front teeth fully in by 6 months, and at a year, she had all of her front teeth, and was working on molars. She is 16 months old, and still working on molars - they take a long time to come in.

My son got two teeth at the same time when he was 6 months old.
My daughter didn't get her first tooth until she was 8 months old.

My son had 4 teeth by the time he was 9 month old. It's not uncommon. I don't know why your doctor was surprised.

It isn't strange at all.

my girls got their teeth early, the first bottom 2 teeth between 4 and 5 months, and the top 2 about a month after that. then it was about a tooth every 3 weeks until they stopped.
then when they were about a year and a half, the molars started...and omg, that was terrible.

My youngest niece got her first two teeth (bottom) at age 4 months. She is now 5 months old and she just got her top two teeth.

All kids are different!

My daughter was 8 months when she got her first tooth (bottom).
