We've been together for a year and was very much in love. I gave him too much attention which smothered him. Now i left him alone, i wonder if he'll miss me, or miss the attention i once gave him. If i keep on ignoring him, will he be back?

I don't know if he'll be back but I can bet you that he misses you atleast a little bit. it's just that guys deal with things differently and try not to show it.
please try to stop worrying about whether he misses you or not . he broke up with you and it might feel good to know he still thinks of you, but it won't help you get over him any quicker. good luck.

He might miss you, or he might be focusing his efforts on other women, or he might not be thinking about a relationship much at all. I don't know him.
If he ended the relationship a while ago and you haven't really heard from him since, he probably really was serious about breaking up with you and isn't likely to be back. On the other hand, if he keeps reappearing, maybe he is having second thoughts. In that case, I'd suggest giving him a little attention, but not too much. Flirt with him a little to remind him what he's missing, but make him be the one to start things again.

just as long as someone else isn't "loving" him you might have a shot in the future if you don't sever all ties
keep yourself fresh in his mind but don't be a nuisance
call and ask how his day was and catch up every few days or weeks but don't spend enough time talking for conversation to go stale... leave something to be desired and he will want it...

be available but dont throw yourself at him

Yes, my ex-boyfriend dump me for someone else and I was heartbroken. When we started talking again he would always bring up the good times we had and told me that he regretted leaving me. Mainly because he knew how bad he hurt me and tried to make things up with me. I never forgave him for what he did. But we're still friends.

I'm sure he will think of you every now and then. If you guys have been together for a year, he will miss you. I would leave him alone though.

He might remember you fondly, but if he's truely moved on he won't miss you.

there are some who crave the attention even while complaining about being smothered. if he's that type he will be back. if not don't worry, be happy. move on.

ok he just misses the attention. cuz u gave him alot of it and he very much enjoyed it..... yeah if u keep ignoring him he will come back they all come back... ex. ME... my ex boyfrined daniel dumped me and like a couple months of ignoring him in every class i had made him just miss me more i could see it in his eyes.. well anyways the point it later on(dec 15) he wanted me back we made up and wht not....now were all good...
soo wat im saying is if he wants u back he'll do his BEST to get u BACK... im sure ur an amazing girl ....
