and have been for a couple years. I have met a most wonderful man. My love for him is so deep. It is more than I ever had for my ex. Do you think that it is that it is more or different? I would hate to think I spent 10 myears with a man I really did not love.

do i think your love for your new man is more or different compared to your love for your first husband? coming from my own experience of divorcing after almost ten years of marriage (include dating and we were together for 13 years), i'd say it's different. i believe that relationships are like books. each chapter holds a different key to the main plot and overall, it's an entirely different story. even if you're the central character in a library of books, each book is different.

You can love more than one person. I am also divorced and I did love my ex-husband. He is a good person, he was just a really bad husband. I have been divorced for about 6 years now and I am in a serious relationship. I love my boyfriend very much. I don't think it is a "deeper" love, it is just better and different.

Many times we get in the wrong relationship out of confusion, love is one of the most difficult words to define. But even if you lost 10 years, there are many more to come (this I wish for you), and you should not be concerned with something that is now out of control, but you can still make wise decisions, just be sure you don't fall in the same hole. Your future is what you need to think about. Many people get so tied to their past that they tend to repeat it to prove that they can handle a situation in which they failed in the past.
Be wise, be happy. God Bless You.

Think of it differently. I spent 6 years w/ a man that I knew that I didn't love but when I think about it doesn't bother me. At least you thought you loved and he probaly was good to you. You probaly are in love now. I've only been in love once and I miss that feeling. I almost believe falling in love doesn't exist. Good for you, I am glad you found someone that you came to fall in love with.

It's different to love somebody, and to be in love with somebody. You probably loved your ex, but now you are in love with this new man. I believe in soul mates! Some people just click together! It's just meant to be and they are just good together. Maybe this time you have met your soul mate!
