The City Hall or the Court House, I would call first to see what you need. I'm pretty sure you will need your birth certificate and maybe a blood test! Good Luck!

city hall (local magistrate or justice of the peace)
You don't need blood tests
check to see what the waiting period between the application to the ceremony is. there usually isn't one. You will likely have to sign something saying you've read some AIDS packet they gave you.
you will need your birth certificate and some form of photo id
there will be a fee for the application, and may be another fee for the ceremony.
ask up front for them to send you a CERTIFIED COPY OF YOUR MARRIAGE APPLICATION. trust me. it will make changing your name easier with the ss office. unless your marriage certificate shows your maiden name and your new married name (which it likely won't) you will need this to give to the social security office so you can change the name on your card. it's a new rule, and annoying.
jop will usually give you the option of being in a joint ceremony or by yourselves. we chose joint (with five other couples) and it was great, and romantic and we were five couples in love. but it's up to you.
you don't need rings to exchange or to dress up but some people choose to.
