First of all i want to know that can police or other law enforcement agencies strip search a person in india, in other words is it legal?Secondly under what circumstances it can be done? Is strip search in india partial (exluding undergarments) or full (including underwear/undergarments)? is this a mandotory procedure followed and carried on all.prisoners when they arrive at jail?is it also done when arrested person is put into lock up when the person is in police custody?

police and par military forces can partial strip you. but intelligence agencies can ask for full striping. again it is not valid for women. if highly required then only women officer can do it with written permission of higher authorities.
it is not a mandotory process followed and carried on in prison or during interrogation.
