OMG! i have exactly the same problem. try some volumizing mousse after you take a shower and then use a round brush to lift the hair upwards as you blow-dry it.

Since ive had long hair, ive had the same problem. I would buy some spray that adds volume. If you're going for the messy look, then try styling gel in the right places (top of your head). Mousse is also very good but can make hair a bit greasy. Toni and guy is a good brand for hairspray. Try their volumising stuff. Also, a good idea is to just ask someone who works in a hairdresser. But not a brand name hairdresser!! Because they will, of course give you one of their products whether its good or not. Ask someone in a department store.

Use the Pantene Volume Collection (including shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, mousse, gel, etc., all specifically designed to volumize your hair). Pantene is a very good brand, so I recommend it very highly!

The best way to have sexy volumized hair is by blowdrying with a round brush. It takes practice and the trick is to roll your wrists.Enjoy!

Try Alberto V05 Whipped volume styling mousse. Blow dry gently while styling. The mousse is a top volumizer. See this for why. http://www.beautyqa.com/

blow dry your hair upside down, so your pointing the blow dryer opposite of the roots...helps a little bit,....plus use a volumizing mousse boost....my favorite is herbel essance volumizing mousse...while your hairs still wet you apply it before your blow dry...
or if you dont have time to shower you can apply it to dry hair and re-blow dry
