[Jesus said]: How can you believe if you accept praise from one a
another, yet make no effort to obtain the praise that comes from
the only God ?

I life of a believe should be lived seeking God's accolades and God's alone. Human recognition is nice but is not the reason to do anything.

Jesus is saying that he does not accept the praise of men, speaking to the Jews back then.
Because they did not have the love of God in them and they rejected Jesus as the Messiah.
Yet they would accept someone coming in his own name and would honor and give that person praise.

My response would be to thank Jesus for instructing me in the ways of the Father, and to act on living as God wants me to.

I would have to say to Jesus that I deeply regret having such an attitude and ask him to pleas forgive my stupidity. Then I would ask him to please teach me to put God first in my life and keep his commandments so that I might receive God's praise rather than the praise of men.

I would say: "Yeshua, I agree. For I understand that the father/mother and I are one. And, I should accept praise from myself internally, rather than seeking it from beyond myself. Because when I can truly love myself, I can truly accept love from those around me."

I would say, "Jesus, of course you understand there are other ways.... which is why you said you are the way, not the ONLY way... and therefore you will understand."
