i think its kinda fukt up that you would find another guy to love when you have a boyfriend, but if you need to "get rid of him" i would suggest you just tell him what kind of person you are, and hopefully it will scare him off :)

Tell Chase that the other night you and steven were drinking some booze behind your Dads shed in the backyard. Then tell Chase that after a few too many drinks you did some things to Steven that he really liked that involved his underwear coming off! Then tell Chase that you wanna do it again to Steven next weekend so......you cant be with him ! He should get the hint!

i don't think there's an easy/nice way to dump someone unless both don't want to stay in the relationship. you shouldn't sacrifice yourself just because you don't want to hurt Chase, you don't love him anymore and you love another. it'll be worse for both of you if you love another and still go out with Chase. Chase'll find out sooner or later that you love another and he'll probably be more hurt by that than if you just dump him now. also, what will you do if you stay with Chase? you'll have to sacrafice your love with Steven or go behind Chase's back to date Steven (which isn't a good thing). So, you should just dump Chase now but do that as gently as you can and remember that it can't be avoided since you don't love him anymore.

You have to be honest with yourself first. If you really love Steven, and Chase is not the one for you then go with Steven. But you have to tell Chase that you don't want to date anymore. He's going to ask why, and you can just simply tell him that the relationship is not working for you anymore and your feelings have changed. If you DON'T want to hurt Chase, DON"T tell him that you met someone else. Guys don't like to hear that stuff at all.
Good luck!

One of the first rules of dating is that you cannot tell someone it's over without hurting feelings. You don't have to be cruel about it, but no matter how gentle you are, Chase will be hurt.
So, be strong. Tell him you are sorry to hurt him, but things are not going to work and that you want to date Steven. Simple as that.

Honesty's the way to go.
For the record though.... what happens if Steven isn't all that once you start dating him?
Then you hurt Chase for no reason.
Chase will probably end up dating your best friend.

You don't have the power to hurt him, he holds that power. Be honest that you don't want to see him anymore, but you don't have to tell him exactly why. You don't need to explain it all, just tell him that you don't think the relationship is working for the two of you and you'd like to end it on good terms.
In the long run, if you don't tell him now that it's not working, it might hurt him more.

There is no way of not hurting him. Be honest and tell him his a great guy, but you dont' have chemistry, and you dont' see the relationship going anywhere. He will be hurt, but he will respect you for your honesty, just in case you wanted to hook back up in the future.
