Dating and being in a relationship are two different things. Dating is the ritual to get to the relationship. Ask any married couple of a few years or more, they probably will say they don't go out on dates with each other much if at all.

If you are monogomous and commited, then you are in an official relationship.

I believe it is official when both of you decide its official
A date or not the two of you are the ones that make the rules in the relationship
No one else just the two of you

Good luck sounds like a very promising relationship

No
Dates suck
If you can get into a relationship and skip the whole dating scene then more power to you
I don't know about anyone else....but I personally derive no satisfaction from paying $60 for a night out full of awkward silences.

You don't have to go out on a date to make it official,it's not necessary. Be honest with him and tell him you don't wanna go out,you can have a date just by staying home and cooking up a great meal.

My boyfriend is a struggling artist. We rarely go on dates. No, you don't have to actually go out for it to be official. A date for us consists of frozen pizza and a Netflix movie viewed from my living room sofa.

And here I just finished saying how much guys hated it when girls overanilized the relationship when this pops up. Stop trying to analize it and just enjoy being together.

A date doesn't constitute a relationship, it is just a date. Have you talked about monogamy?
