Hi,

Considering you only bought them yesterday they will still be scared/shy because its a totally new and also different enviroment that they are in.

Sit next to their cage and talk to them, dont try to handle them or let them out as they dont know you, and this could do more harm than good at the moment,

You will notice when they start to perk up chirping and playing, but at the moment they are still wary, try offering some food from your hand, so they can assosiate you with "good things"

Try to avoid sudden hand movements towards them as this will make them even more nervous,

After about 3-4 days of you siting by their cage and talking to them offering them food, try letting them out, hopefully they wont be to hard to put back in, just remember they might crash a few times as your room will be a different layout to what their used to.

Good luck with your new additions, just remember to take it slow.

Well I notice you said they used to sit at the bottom of the cage, that could be a sign that there sick! I take my cockatiel out all the time and he seems to like me. If you walk into the room and your birds crawl around the cage, they like you! If they don't just give them awhile. Bird sometimes just don't do anything, there just tired or need to get used to there surroundings. Try moving the stuff around in there cage maybe they cant get around?

Put your hand in the cage and just let it sit there for a few minutes at a time. Don't do anything, just let your hand be inspected by them...do this for about a week then start putting food in your hand. The birds need to get used to you and if you try to grab them they wil NEVER come!

The bird are just getting used to all the new smells and sounds. I Give them a little while to get adjusted before you worry too much. Congrats on the new additions!

the are content when they are being taken care of
they are stressed if they pluck out their feathers
make sure they are warm they are sensitive to cold
it will take some time but they will warm up to you
let them out to play a little every day, make sure they can not hurt themselves on anything

you should take your bird out of its cage everyday so it could get used to you and send at least 15 min. a day talking and playing with it.
