what about the dinosaurs,do religious people think they are fake?
the pyramids were built b4 the bible was written,so do they not exist because they are older than jesus?
i just dont understand,how can religion be so closed minded?

Okay first of all Christians are NOT closed minded. Since I am a Christian, I will answer this the best I can and know how, but I am not sure of everything because I am still a teen. Okay, Christians DON'T think that the world is millions of years old, but they DO think dinosaurs existed. We think that when God created the world, he also made dinosaurs as well, and that they could have been wiped out of existince when the the great flood came that wiped out the entire earth except for Noah and his family(also the animals with him on the ark). There may have been dinosaurs on the ark that could not have survived after they got off the boat because living conditions were not good enough for them.
The pyramids were built when Christians were around. Have you never heard the story of how the egyptian pharoh had God's people as slaves to work, you know Jews? Jesus was not born at that time, but that doesn't mean God didn't exist. I am sorry this is so long but I am just trying to answer this correctly.
Also, doesn't thinking that the one and only true God made the world, then just some stupid rock( you other people's big bang theory) just happening to break up and create the world which just so happened to have all the right living conditions for man and animals to live on?!?! I can't believe how closed minded you are. The world started with Adam and Eve, it doesn't matter how long ago it was. Is it not possible that dianasoars lived with people and were killed off by the great flood. Becuase to me it does not sound very logical that Noha would bring a male and female T-Rex on his ark, which would explain why there are nolonger any dinasoars. And why on earth does it matter when the pyramids were built? In the bible, it tells the entire story of who built the pyrimids. THE JEWS! It sound like you havn't read the bible. If you are going to crytisize a religion, maybe you should study what they believe first.

Two Parts to this question.
1st part: Can you REALLY trust the science that dates the Earth. I don't think that the Earth is 7,000 years old (Biblical age) but I don't believe that it is millions of years old either. Science will tell you that water advances the aging process of material. Well what would happen if you had a Katrina type flood in Greece. Articles that would be 2,300 years old could date at 23,000 years old.
2nd part: Gen 1:1 says "In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth. The Earth was void and without form....."
The key to that verse is simple-it's the period. The period means the end of a complete idea. That sentence is not connect to the rest of the chapter that says it was the 1st day. This sentence stands alone like all sentences. The question is: How much time elapses between sentence one and the 1st day? No one knows.
I believe that science and the Bible are in lock step.

Dinosaur-like creatures are mentioned in Job 40 & 41 of the Bible.
During the 400 year captivity of the Jews in Egypt, it is most likely that the pyramids were built by Jewish slaves.
Science is not perfect. Data must be interpretted by imperfect scientists. Radio-carbon 14 dating is based upon an unproveable assumption.
I just don't understand how non-Judeo/ non-Christians can be so closed minded to historical events.

As a Christian Pastor I have never had a problem with the estimated age of this earth or dinosaurs.
The writings of the Bible contain the history of man not necessarily the history of the world.
Also while it is true the pyramids are older than the advent of Christ there is another several thousand years before Christ contained in the Old Testament.

God created the world. Then he created Adam and Eve. Then they lived in heaven until they sinned. Then they were sent to Earth, which already existed. The Pyramids were built around the time of Moses who came a long time before Jesus.

The world could still be 5 billion years old and adam and eve could still have been created 6000 years ago. whats the big hoopla? The pyramids are said to be 3 to 6 thousand years old. The bible started to be recorded at about 3000 BC. So what?

First: The timeline of the Bible was lost until at least 2350 BC when the patriarchs first arrived.
Just because God destroyed the Earth (see Genesis 6) it doesn't mean that he destroyed all living evedence that there was life.
Second: The pyramids were built not before bible time, but before the life of Jesus. (BC)

bible says animals were created before man. if you do not limit god to time, then a day is nothing more then a symbol of a period of time. thus a day to god could be a million years to us. with that being said, it could very well be that, god created animals millions of years before humans, (or however long you want to believe), and then before he made humans decided to "whipe the slate" by removing dinosaurs.
i dont really understand what your saying about the pyramids. as far as i know christians dont claim jesus to be the start of mankind, so why would it be wrong to think they didnt exist before jesus? jesus isnt from egypt...?
