Please give long information answers. If you give short answers, I won't pick your answer as the best answer.

The more informative the better. I also asked that you do not bash the Catholic Church or the Protestant Church. This should be answered with good Christian charity.

If you write a hostile answer, I don't think God will be pleased by your actions.

Thank you.

Dominus Vobiscum, which means The Lord be with you.

It was Jesus who gave the Catholic church The Holy Spirit .It is the Spirit that guides the Church. There have been problems but the Holy Spirit is guiding the Church.Jesus told us that"you can judge a tree by its fruit":Mother Theresa and Pope John Paul 2 are good examples of the fruit.
Here's something for you to think about ;St Bonaventure said that we came from God in a fallout where we move along this path of sin until we encounter Christ .It is Christ who takes us back to God.The journey of the Protestants is similar, infact we have been through the same.

I have one foot in each world. I was raised Protestant and still attend a Protestant church. I went to Catholic School and attend mass with some of my family members occasionally. I have found that while I do not agree with much of the Catholic Churches teachings, there is a comfort in the mass and it's traditions. A sense of belonging and of something more than I get from my own service - though I will not leave my church because I agree more with it than with any other.

I think that if many Protestants are leaving their churches and joining the Catholic faith it is because they feel a deeper connection to the mass and to the people than they do in their own churches. There is nothing wrong with this. I think that people should search for the church that most suits their needs, and makes them the most comfortable.

I attended a funeral today, led by a Baptist minister. Instead of focusing on the life of the loved one, he spoke instead about being saved because Jesus could come back at any day. Things like this disgust me. He would go on and on and on about being saved and how we should each 'accept Jesus into our hearts'. Instead of being serious, he sounded more like a car salesman.

I think perhaps the reason that so many are converting is because they want a faith that is real, and genuine - not something built on lies and money. Give us a yearly 'donation' of $1,000 and God will bless you.

In closing, they convert because they want to belong to a real family - with real truths, and people. Not a false one. God Bless.

To disprove Roman Catholicism through the Bible, many were revealed the truth of Roman Catholicism. Conversion results.

Others wish to stay in the anti-catholic bias that they were taught instead of studying the truth without bigotry. Saint Augustine, Cardinal John Newman, Thomas Merton, Scott Hahn,

Proabaly because christians want to remain christian, and catholics have become more laid back than the days of the Inquisition and crusades, catholicism is just another sect of christianity, its a shame people dont realize they dont have to be christian or have a relationship with Jesus (rolls eyes) to go to heaven.
