Come on! Where does it say that it is someone's wife who has to annoint a body. Besides, if you have your sources right, there were a few women who went down to the grave to annoint Jesus' body as was the custom including Mary Magdalene!

Secondly, it was not after he came back. They were on the way to annoint the body, His mother was part of the party and found the tomb empty.

Where did you come up with this one? Who says only a wife could annoint a grave? Who says Mary was going to or did annoint any grave? Who in the Bible ever even hinted that Jesus was married? Who ever hinted that Mary was married to anyone.
Why does it say Mark 16:1 When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, so that they might come and anoint Him. " None of them were His wife or mother.

People often do inappropriate things in a time of great stress. It is part of being human. But, it is all right there in the Bible for the whole world to see. Just as it should be. Teaching even you about the true events. But remember, the Bible is made up of written accounts of humans. God did not pen it himself nor did Jesus himself.

And maybe Mary did not have a full knowledge of the custom. Or maybe she felt that in the absence of his wife or mother, that someone should do it.

Don't be so judgmental. Live your life and let Christains live theirs. Why stress yourself. You are waisting your breath anyway.

She was carry the goods, but never quite completed the process. I believe Jesus' other relative were also present. She was a good friend of the family after her conversion and transformation.

Never a wife to Jesus. The silence of this type of relationship is the most glaring reason it is not true. Jesus would not be silent on this topic.

I still do not buy the latest gossip on this subject just not historically true.

i could say the opportunity of Jesus being married to Mary Magdalene is basically about nil. "there's no point out of Jesus being married previous to the start of His 3–12 months ministry. there's no point out of Jesus being married for the period of His 3–12 months ministry. there's no point out of Jesus being married on the crucifixion. there's no point out of Jesus being married at His burial. there's no point out of Jesus being married at His resurrection. In different words, there's no point out of a spouse everywhere...! [no longer even] the Gospel of Philip [which Dan Brown makes use of as his considerable help for his declare that Jesus grew to become into married to Magdalene]... states that Jesus grew to become into married.... nonetheless extra suitable, the manuscript for the Gospel of Philip isn't total. in certainty, the rfile says that 'Jesus kissed her oftentimes on the ...' and then the manuscript is broken at that ingredient. Brown and others have assumed the lacking word must be 'mouth,' despite the fact that it ought to basically as actual be 'head' or 'cheek' or perhaps 'hand.'" i think of it grew to become into incorrect for the church to kill all people. No, i do no longer think of Jesus somewhat needed women persons to steer His church. As on your very final subject, if homosexuality is incorrect, then the shown fact that pedophilia is incorrect too would not make it precise.

You are obviously not a Christian, so please don't make an assumption about a religion you do not understand.

Though you do raise a good point about Jewish law, and it ties in with all the theories brought up by 'The Da Vinci Code', and 'Holy Blood, Holy Grail'. However, I don't think applied under the new-found Christianity

The Bible says that Jesus left NO LEGACY. It also says that he had no infatuations--that means he didn't get married or have kids to carry on Joseph's or King David's name. I looked through the bible after I read and saw The DaVinci Code.

As far as the life of Jesus, I don't see how his marriage should have been a factor. What was the motivation to conceal their love and to discredit her reputation?

I think there was entirely too much "annointing" going on back then. It seems like you couldn't turn around in the ancient middle east without somebody annointing something.
