In the middle of a eulogy. When the guy you're about to sleep with drops his pants. When you are asked, "do you take this --- ?" During a high-level security meeting to discuss using nukes. When asked at the airport if you are carrying any weapons. When your wife asks, "Does this dress make me look fat?"

Never laugh outloud when someone puts someone else down. Even if its funny and true.

During a solemn ceremony: funeral, wedding, christening, etc. You could add: a church service, when someone gets seriously injured, when someone tells you sad news about themselves....there are quite a few instances in which it would be rude to laugh out loud.
