Me and my friend were at the mall and eating ice cream and this group of cute white guys were staring at us and stuff and smiling. One of them wanted to ask me out but he sent his friend over there to talk to me.I told his friend that if he really wants me he would come over here by himself and get my number. I don't understand, ususally a Black guy or a Hispanic guy would approach me and be straight forward and ask me out.

That will change as you get older. The white guys I know will step to a sista in second. Besides, any man that sends his friend over to talk to you is not worthy anyway. It show lack of confidence and no balls to except rejection. If that happens again, tell the friend you are interested in him, even if your not. Bottom line, you snooze you lose and it was his lose.

May be he just feels intimidated, or is shy, which is a good posibility. Don't try to find the logic in this matter, many do the same thing for totally oposite reasons. Or may be he was just playing with you. But you will never find out until you ask him what was going through his mind. You know who you are and what you are capable of in life, and that is what really matters in the end. Next time just ask, ar just for fun, you can go to him and ask him to go to your table and ask you what he wants.

It's not about you being black. I'm assuming you're a teenager gaguing from the situation. Assuming you are all teenagers, well all the white teenage guys I knew as a teenager pulled the same crap on all girls, whether they were white or black or whatnot. Maybe white guys are just bigger sissies, I really don't know.

i don't think its all the white guys that are afraid to approach black women cause i have white guys approaching me literally every day....you probably intimidate..maybe you will have one of those mean looks on your face even though you don't realize it...or maybe they just figure that you're not in to white guys because you probably don't show signs back...like when those guys was looking at you and your friends they probably was waiting for you to smile back or something to let them know that you are also interested...and with black and Hispanic guys its probably different for them because they don't think that you will turn them down because they have color to their skin just like you..

Because its taboo. And society tells White men that Black women are not beautiful. Plus the media stereotypes us as mean, neck-rolling, finger wagging mamas with babies on our hips.
I believe white guys as a whole are coming around and I see it more and more in the teenagers. I am always surprised when a white guy comes on to me. Its sad, but its true. I think that is the final dating frontier to be conquered.

Because he was shy. You should have given his friend your number. Now you would never know why he sent his friend. And now you have to ask this silly question. Did it ever occur to you that maybe, the one that liked you was the other guy (the messenger.) Duh.
