Yes--definitely believe in soulmates. What I'm not sure about is whether we each have more than one soulmate. In addition, I believe in the concept that there is a 'cluster of souls' that we re-connect with and they serve as siblings, friends, mentors, and a number of other roles in our lives. There are a number of reading resources on this subject, including a web site 'towardthelight.org'. Happy New Years.

If there are soulmates, why are there so many divorces? If soulmates do exist, then the population of men and women would be in equilibrium, unless you count in the gays. I would like to keep an open mind about the concept. The truth is, soulmates do exist; someone can get stuck with the wrong person and so the other person would be a loner.

Well sometimes its hard not to --- because you meet people who have the best stories of how they met at 16 and knew they were soul mates and knew they would get married --- and people who met in the craziest ways and believe they were meant to find eachother because they are soulmates...
but i would have to say that there is no such thing as a soulmate ... its kind of complicated why i feel like that but let me try to explain ... its hard for me to believe that there is 1 person in the world for each person... i believe that each person has a type ... and hundreds of people in the world could fit that "type" its just a matter of who you find first.

I don't believe in soulmates. I believe in true friendship. A soulmate implies that only one person in the whole world can ever be in a loving relationship with you.
I believe that true friendship means that anyone who believes in you and cares for you can and will be with you through thick and thin, and never let you down. That's just as good as, or better than a soulmate, because sometimes I even let myself down.
I would like to marry someone who is my true friend, not someone who has nice legs and big boobies. (Although if I can have both, I'm cool with that)

Yes I believe in soulmates....but probably not in the way everyone else thinks. I believe that soulmates are Made...not found. If you have married...it is part of your job to make that person your soulmate....love everything about them....and if there are some things that u can't stand about them....then realize that it is your problem and not theirs. The same with you....you have to make it your job to know what yours spouse wants in a soulmate and become that. Marriage is work....lots of work, commitment, and patience. If you know you cannot provide these qualities in abundant...then don't marry anyone.

Oh my what a thought
I heard this just the other day how to select the person that is the right one over your Soul Mate.
How indeed. How difficult that must be. and how do you really know for certain if the person is the right one.
what happens when you pick the right person over your soul mate. I don't know but I do believe in Soul Mates.
Spirit Mates. I don't know for certain if the right person comes into your life at just the right moment or misses the opportunity .
Good luck with your answers.

My husband IS my soul mate. We are so in sync it is not funny. We do argue but it is more of a debate. he is strong where I am weak and vice-versa. We are best friends and tell each other everything. We are honest with each other, and we are both intellectually stimulating without being stuffy. We have the same silly sense of humor and sexually equally high strung and experimental. We have the same likes and similar dislikes. If anything ever happen to him I will be alone (by choice). Yes, there is such thing and everyone should be so lucky. He is as gorgeous to me as I am to him. I love him more than life.

From personal experience I can say that I found someone I loved and I thought was my soul-mate but then she didn't feel the same after we stayed separated for a while.
It was a lesson for me. Between a man and a woman it's important to be respectful and understanding but there are many possible choices for partner for any peson.

There's all kinds of kindreds out there.. soulmates is one version of that, so it just depends. Soulmates doesn't only mean "spouse" to me. Anyone can be a soulmate, if you are connected on a soul level.

I believe everyone has a soul mate just people rush into it way too much. I mean people think they are getting too old and that the next person they meet is goint ot be there soul mate. I mean People just need to be patient.
