Did anyone purchase a Sony Cyber Shot DSC-W70 in May 2005? How much did you pay for it? I am curious to know the cost at that time. My friend and I are having a disagreement about the cost. She received one as a gift and tells everyone it was over $700. I find that hard to believe because they are about $250 right now.

I don't know. The information I found says that the DSC-W70 was INTRODUCED in February 2006 for $249.

Maybe it was a W7?
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sonydscw7/ still says it was introduced at $400, but I could imagine a kit driving the price up a bit. Not to $700, though...

My Sony DSC200 broke after taking basically 7 photograph's. I Contacted Sony yet because of the fact I had lost the receipt they charged me £one hundred to restoration it, even however the Sony save remembered me and stamped my assure. do no longer purchase Sony!! Konica Minolta, Nikon and Pentax all magnificent.

haha. over $700?! YEAH RIGHT!!! I work in the camera dept and have for almost 2 years now. The W70 was not out in 2005. It was new this year. (about January)
