A hicky is basically a bruise underneath the skin so the best way to get rid of it is to treat it the way you would any other bruise: an ice compress to get rid of the swelling and slow the bleeding. There is a theory that massaging it makes it break up faster so it is absorbed back into the body, no idea how accurate that is though. Regardless, will be a couple days before it's gone so you'll have to cover it with make-up until then. The best cover is layered liqid makeup and pressed powder. Do not use concealer as it is (should be) lighter than your normal skin and therefore will attract attention to the location of the hicky if you use it there.

Well, it's like this, Big J. It may seem like some old stale cliche when someone says "Time heals all wounds," but in this case, it's the unvarnished truth. A hickey will heal according to its own schedule, and there's nothing anybody can do to speed it up. Just make sure you get something natural-looking when you go to cover it up.
Fortunately, it's winter, and you can wear turtlenecks for a week or so, and not look out of place (please tell me you don't live in Key West, Encino, Haiti, or somewhere very very warm). You can get ones with festive holiday themes on the front, or one that shows your allegience to your favorite team. (Here's a hint--wear some Pittsburgh Steeler apparal...you won't have to cover up the hickey...any footbal fans you encounter will be so laughing at (or sympathizing with, or b%@ing along with, depending on their allegience) that they won't even notice your neck.
Bottom line--don't sweat it, hickeys go away eventually. So long as there is no significant other you have to hide it from, wear it as a badge of honor....and have a Happy New Year.

The best way to heal the bruise and fast.. would be by using ARNICA CREAM over the bruise and take ARNICA MONTANA 30X or 30C internally (it's a homeopathic remedy); it clears up bruises like magic ;)
How does it work?
Arnica works by stimulating the activity of white blood cells which process congested blood, and by dispersing trapped fluids from joints and muscles and bumped and bruised tissue. It also has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial qualities and it is these that help to reduce pain and swelling as well as improving wound healing.
Hope you feel better soon!

a hicky is basically a bruise, the only thing to make it go away is time. Over time it will fade like any other bruise. So wear a scarf or cover it with makeup.

All a hickey is , is a bruise. They usually have to run their course for healing but arnica cream seems to speed the process.

you should be proud someone had so much passion for you unless of course you feel shame and want to hide your sin.time will heal it in about a week but meanwhile try make up or a turtleneck sweater unless of course you live in south florida.

You can use make up to cover it but you just have to wait for it to go away on its own over time

You can't, only time will do it. Luckily it's winter. Wear a turtle neck and pray your spouse doesn't see it.
