Techniqually cats have no real 'Breed' they are known by their hair..such as DSH, DMH, DLH...Cats' do have names for their traits though. It may be a manx.
No, they should've had their vaccinations and should've been neutered or spayed before they left the campus. Other than that it depends on where you've got them. In the U.S it's federal law.
I hope that helps.

When you get an animal from the rescue center , they should have their shots, and also be altered, this should be in the price of the animal. It it is considered a donation, so that they can continue to care for all of the animals that come into the center. What if this kitten has some kind of a disease, and it was not,t detected. Cats with short tails are considered a Manx. Usually Siamese cats have blue eyes, so your cat could be a mixture of these.

It might be a manx cat but because it is a rescue cat it may have lost its tail by nasty means. £40 does seem a lot to pay but you have done a great thing and your £80 will be paid of with all the pleasure you will get from these too. Well done!

It could be a manx cat since they are born with no tails, but since he was in a rescue centre maybe his tail was damaged and had to be amputated. Breed would only matter if you intended to breed from him, otherwise he will make a lovely pet. My first kitten was an undoctored male and very affectionate. On my 360 photos I have a photo of our more recent boy kitten who was absolutley gorgeous but decided to go adventuring and hasn't been seen since.

there are two types of tailess cat breed, the Manx and the japanese Bobtail, both cats have large muscular back legs, which are higer than the front legs, giving them a "rabbity" kind of look, if your cat does not have this feature, then its a moggy who lost its tail.

The rescue centre sounds a bit dodgy to me, you will probably need to get them to the vets for worming and a check up, do this soon as unwormed kittens always fail to thrive.

The only I can think of to find out what breed of cat you have is to ask a professional, like a vet or breeder. I'm sorry if this isn't much hope but that's the only thing I can think of.

Manx cats don't have tails, so I expect your cat is part Manx if not thoroughbred. £40 sounds like alot to pay without any vaccinations

sounds like a moggy to me (with amputated tail or maybe it was born without one - it does happen and doesn't mean it's a manx)
