I was wondering what some examples of low-impact exercises are (other than walking and swimming)? Thanks :-D

I have a degenerative joint disease, coupled with inflammatory arthritis, so I cannot do any exercises with impact.

I purchased a Gazelle, which is a nice piece of exercise equipment. You more or less glide back and forth.... and use your arms at the same time.

Purchasing it from the company directly is expensive. I got an older model from Sears a couple of years ago. It was on sale. You might also check e-bay and other places.

It's a good aerobic and strength workout, depending on how you choose to use it. It looks easy when you watch someone, but trust me.... you will feel the workout. And no impact.

Best Wishes,

Sue

Swimming may be the main finished style of workout, even nonetheless it extremely relies upon on how difficult you work out and what you do. in case you in basic terms do some laps to and fro, that's unlikely to do lots of something. in case you do a minimum hour-long extreme power work out, you will artwork each and every thing of your physique in a non-stressful way. you will no longer get vast muscle groups, like a physique builder, yet you have got long and lean muscle groups. 5 situations each and every week is exceptionally universal for the wellness point you're finding at, and you will choose some pool toys, like hand paddles, and pull buoys, so which you're able to do huge artwork on diverse areas. you will additionally ought to learn some new strokes - fly, pass slowly, back and breast are universal. countless the synchro strokes, sculling feet first, and dolphin swims are additionally useful.

I recommend the Needak rebounder. We have one and it is low impact and fun for the kids and great for exercise when injured. It is great for your lymph system as it gets it flowing and running.

In addition there are exercise videos with the exercise ball. Usually you buy the ball and get the video with it.

I particularly like the Total Gym. You can go as light as you want and heavy too. Great for rehabbing difficult to get, and easy to get muscles.
