I have, met a few girlfriends on line with it.
You just have to weigh the pros and cons of it.
PROS-
You will have acess to people you wouldn't normally meet.
You can hit on people at any time during the day or any day of the week even if the bars and clubs are not busy. It is a great supplement to normal methods.
You can go into a date knowing more about a person than you can if you just met them once.
You have the ability to screen people better (but you are recieving and sending more responses).
CONS-
supermarketitis. people tend to see tons and tons of people they can contact, then either get upset or overwhelmed by the responces. It is a totally different kind of dating not like traditional or normal methods.
People can and do act differently online than they do in person.
People put up fake or old photos.
If you email too long, you build up this false sense or idea of what someone is like in your mind, only setting yourself up for a letdown when you finally do meet them.
It is much much easier to size someone up in a 30 second conversation than it is through 30 emails.

Use it...well, just canceled it today. Haven't actually been online in the past month except to send "no thanks" emails to this weirdo who keeps emailing me from Saudi Arabia. Had one bad experience with a guy getting weird on me (asking me if I lived on "so and so" street, or by "so and so" landmark) while we were still in the emailing stages (he went bye-bye after a coupla days...fed him a line that I started dating my best friend from high school), one guy that turned out to be a real prick, a couple of guys that became friends, and a great guy I've been dating for almost 2 months.

Don't do it. All the chicks are a mess. Their title say things like crazybootyshakin'ho, and then they'll say they're a hopeless romantic devoted to their families and friends, but looking for a man with a heart of gold. What kind of crap is that? No wonder they can't find anyone, they're insane.
Watch out when you chat with them too. They'll ask seemingly innocent questions, but they're really going to stake you out. Freakin' crazy. I never knew hopeless romantic equaled stalker.

Well I'm signed up with like 8 different ones, but I've had no experiences with any of them yet cuz they all cost too much. I don't pay any sites just to be able to send messeges to single women, screw that.

I tried it years ago before I met my husband and found people posted really old pics. When you meet them, they looked nothing like their picture. I do know two couples that met online though and are happily married.

unless you go on a site like match.com where dr. phil endorses it you're scraping the bottom of the barrel. people are liars and deceitful.
