The comforter is white and it's for an elderly person, her concern is the comforter will get dirty from the air. I was wondering if there was something to cover it,so she can still use it during the nights?

a duvet is a cover that can be used alone as a light bedspread, or, you can put another quilt/blanket inside of it and button it shut. that way, when needed, the duvet can be seperated from the quilt and washed.

it's called a duve' cover, it's like a fitted sheet, but covers all sides of your comforter and buttons closed at the bottom
