Several years ago I began having trouble gripping my pen as I wrote. I then starting writing with my pen or pencil between my index and middle fingers and that worked for years. A few weeks ago even that doesn't seem to work too well. I can write for a few minutes and then the index finger just doesn't want to work. This is only a problem when I write and sometimes when I am typing. Sometimes the finger just wants to point! I have no pain or swelling, and never have. I have tried to find answers on the Internet but haven't been succesful. Any answers would be appreciated.

The condition is likely some type of neurological degeneration in the nerves that go to the fingers that have the problem (median or ulnar nerves?). Doctors call this type of condition mononeuropathy - meaning a neurological problem that affects a single nerve trunk. There are several possible causes - diabetes, old bone fractures or other injuries, something putting pressure on the nerve, Parkinson's disease, and probably a few more things. It wouldn't hurt to make an appointment with a neurologist to make sure this isn't some warning sign of something more serious.

He just did it that way to tempt us. You have to have the Spirit of the Lord to understand these things. Like obviously God intelligently designed the banana to fit perfectly into the human mouth. But don't let that give you any wild ideas about the propriety of sticking other roughly-banana-shaped objects in there.
