It's like we are all living in a big fish bowl. just because they dump the yuk in the water over there, doesn't mean it won't get to us. Also, there are only a few people at the top getting the money from the products, most of the people in China are living in poverty.

Because you breathe. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency estimates that on certain days nearly 25 percent of the particulate matter in the skies above Los Angeles can be traced to China. Some experts predict China could one day account for a third of all California's air pollution.

China is cleaning up its act, but you should realize that China is still incredibly poor. Shanghai and Beijing may give you an impression that everything is all shiny and all, but China still pollutes a great deal because they tend to use coal, the dirtiest fossil fuel, but also the cheapest.
China's population is growing and with that, more pollution and use of fossil fuels. That goes to global warming, which affects everyone, even Americans.
However, American is still the number one polluter.

We should care about every where. China is not the only country who pollutes. America is the #1 contributor to global warming. We should care about everywhere. Don't point the blame on one country us american create the most pollution. think about it the way we live and the way we've been living compared to the rest of the world.

China is a name that men give to a chunk (albeit a very big chunk) of the earth's surface. The air and water anywhere on the planet eventually comingles with other air and water. Rivers and streams in China make their way to the ocean, just like in other countries. SO basically, China's air and water is our air and water. China is not a stand-alone environment.

Think of it like smoking on an airplane. One person smokes and since it's a sealed system, everybody feels the effects.

The earth is like that. It's all the same air and water tables eventually run to the oceans and it's all just one great big sealed system.

Hope that helps.

Pollution crosses borders. China is a major emitter of global warming gasses.
