i have straight, thin hir that is 2 in. past my shoulders. if i start my hair at lip length, can i still tie in into a pony tail or not?

I would think that the layers would be too short and fall out of your pony. If your hair is thin are you sure you want layers??

yes but it will be a really small pony tail... ask your stylist to cut your first layer at a length where you can still tie it into a pony tail

No. It will be too short.
The most flattering cut would be at the widest part of your face, or the part you want to draw attention to. FYI!

not likely, maybe a small ponytail. but whether or not you can pull it off anyway depends on your face shape and features.
