Hi, glad you're learning a lesson here. YOU are the jerk in this instance, not any police officer.
Thanks for trying to get me and my loved ones killed. 'Preciate it.
I hope neither gets tossed. Do the crime, do the time. There are consequences for your actions.

OK personal experience. I got clock for 109 in a 55 zone racing another car. Here is what happen:
600 in fine for speeding
Drag racing is drop, I got a good lawyer
1500 in lawyer fee
50 court cost
250 for driving course
175 for reinstate my license
10 points off my license (4 for speeding, 6 for dangerous driving)
Insurance goes up from 60 a month to 155 a month for three years.
So, add it up 600+1500+50+250+175+(155-60)*36 =5995.
Hope you learn your lesson.

I doubt he gave you the racing ticket to "make himself happy". You're lucky you didn't get a trip to jail for 103mph. Some places that's an automatic trip to the clink. I don't know about the fines, you can call the court and ask.

the essential area of it somewhat is to procure caught rushing. law enforcement officials are especially lots equivalent threat on rushing tickets, and in case you attempt to get a dismissal in this minor technicality, they're going to in all threat double the advantageous. Plead no longer accountable, because you never be attentive to, they could be in a sturdy temper. If this could properly be a important speeder or a school zone violation, i could get an lawyer in touch.

I can't think of any jurisdiction where the plain old speeding one would be worse. Racing is always worse to my knowledge.
Costs really depend on your location. It's best to just call the court in the county you got the ticket in and ask them. Rise in insurance is something you'd have to ask your agent.

In my part of the country if you are under 21 you'd have been sitting in jail, lost your license plus paid a hefty fine - $500 or more. You might want to consult a lawyer on this one. Your insurance company is not going to be real happy either. Lucky you didn't wreck and kill someone.

its up to the judge. the police can say "hey, they might" but the operative word is "might".
so , pay your fines. stop speeding, and hope that your insurance rates dont go up.
