I'm middle class, I do find some working class women attractive, but they're definately in the minority. The least attractive of all are the chavette types who wear sports clothes and loads of argos jewellery. Am I a snob? Does anyone else feel this way?

Hang on, I think a lot of the US based answerers have misinterpreted what I mean as working class. I'm talking about the exteme types you'd see on say the Jerry Springer show. How many of the women who answered would date a typical Jerry Springer guest, with mullet hair-cut and pick-up turck?

Obviously not! It appears many people who have answered this and even perhaps yourself don't really understand the meaning of working class. Anyone who still draws a salary, even the managing director of a big company is still working class. Why? Because he is working for his money. That all changes when your money starts working for you! The middle classes or gentry didn't work because they had/have independent income. Watch the Jane Austen movies and see how many times the gentlemen were quoted as having "5,000 a year", etc. That was income from their holdings, not their jobs! So sorry to tell you, if you are working for a living, then you too are working class. I think you are referring to "low class" when you discuss these women. The fact that you mention class at all would infer you are in England or New England as this preoccupation with class seems generally to eminate from those areas. Forget what she or her family do for a living and find someone you "like". There are plenty of classy people in poor neighborhoods, because true class is like style, you cant buy it!

Yes, you are a snob. You cannot judge a woman by what "social class" she is in. I am a young, female college student and I attend a very prestigious private university that is filled with guys and gals that think like you. They attend the school on mommy and daddy's wealth, and I attend the school on scholarship and I work nights in a restaurant until I earn my degree and graduate and move on.
You are shutting yourself off to the world and potential relationships because you are stereotyping and also narrowing your expectations to a select few.
And you can be poor and have class, and you can be rich and have NO class, case in point: YOU!

If a woman has a career then she is probably not wanting nor caring to date. If you on the other hand are finding little flaws to not ask someone out then yes you are a snob. So I am sure you are doing these women a favor by NOT asking them out.

I feel the same way, what is even worse is when they open their mouths to speak, mouthbreathers with little grasp of the language or concepts of vocabulary.
